We would like to inform you that Moxa is going to make changes to the NPort 5000AI-M12 Series
We would like to inform you that Moxa is going to make changes to the NPort 5000AI-M12 Series,
because of better component management. These changes will be implemented by Jan 01, 2026.
Please review the details below to determine how these changes will affect your products and/or operations.
What will change?
The following changes will be implemented in the new hardware revision 1.3:
- EN50155:2021 and EN50121-4:2019 certification
- Ethernet PHY
- Flash
- Real-time clock
- Model label format (Using NPort 5450AI-M12 as reference, applies to all models)
The hardware form-fit function stays the same.
Firmware will advance to v2.0, and the version is also compatible to prior hardware revision. For firmware versions prior to v2.0, those cannot be installed on hardware V1.3.0. Please refer to the firmware release note on the product website for the detail of changes in firmware.

For firmware v1.5 or earlier, it is strongly recommended to use Device Search Utility to upgrade to firmware v2.0. If you can only upgrade the firmware by web console, please contact your regional technical support window for further assistance.
